Terms of Service & Music Rights

These terms govern your use of SoundBeat, operated by IKONS Group AB, Stockholm, Sweden. By creating an account, subscribing or licensing music from SoundBeat you agree to these terms.

Using SoundBeat

SoundBeat is a subscription service. An account is activated once payment is completed — we do not offer free accounts. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a guardian, to subscribe.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for everything that happens on your account. One subscription covers one person or one business; accounts may not be shared or resold.

You may not copy, redistribute, resell or make our music available outside the scope of your license, use it to train AI models, or register it with any content identification system (such as YouTube Content ID) as your own.

Subscriptions & payment

Creator and Business plans are billed yearly by default. Your plan activates when payment is confirmed and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time — your access then runs until the end of the paid period. No lock-in beyond the period you have already paid for.

In-Store Radio is included in the Business plan. Licenses you have downloaded and published while your subscription was active remain valid for that published content even after cancellation.

Prices are shown in USD and may be updated for future billing periods; we always show the current price before you pay.

Licenses

A SoundBeat subscription gives you a direct license from us to use the music in the ways your plan covers — online content, social media, podcasts, client work and, with Business, in-store playback and YouTube channel whitelisting.

Need something outside your plan — TV, radio broadcast, film, games or events? We offer single-track licenses and add-on licenses per track. See the single license price list or request a custom license.

Because we own the music outright (see below), your license comes straight from the rights holder. There are no third-party collecting society fees, no cue sheets and no surprise claims for the use your license covers.

Who owns the music

IKONS Group AB owns the full rights to every track in the SoundBeat catalog — both the composition and the recording. This is the foundation of everything we do.

Our composers and producers are contracted directly to us. They create music for SoundBeat under agreements that assign the rights to IKONS Group AB, and they are not affiliated with any collecting society (such as STIM, SAMI, ASCAP, BMI, PRS or similar organizations) for this music.

That means no one else can claim royalties or fees on our catalog. When you license music from SoundBeat, the chain of rights is complete and direct: from our composers, to us, to you. If a platform ever questions your use, your SoundBeat license is the full answer.

A new kind of music industry

SoundBeat and IKONS Group AB believe the traditional music industry makes licensing harder than it needs to be — layers of middlemen, societies, opaque fees and paperwork that slow down both creators and the businesses that want to use music legally.

We are building the alternative: one catalog, fully owned, licensed directly. Composers get paid fairly through their contracts with us, and you get music you can actually use — without fear of claims, takedowns or unexpected invoices years later.

Simple, direct and transparent. That is the music industry we believe in.
